From Zero to Something

Well, this is my first time blog tru my phone.
Just some random thoughts on the whole assignment process.

Still remember the first lecture which I get to explore with dslr, I have mixed feelings about it.
I was excited because I always desired to get a dslr and shoot some amazing and breathtaking scenery wherever I go! But at the same time, I felt worried. I was worried that I couldn't complete my assignment well as I have zero knowledge on handling a dslr.

Although lecturer had lend dslr for me and my coursemate to explore and shoot some photos for assignment purpose, I have problem in shooting photos with the good angle and correct exposure.
I felt lost, and worried that I couldn't complete my assignment without owning a dslr. Seeing my classmates own their dslr, makes me felt jealous.

I couldn't own a dslr because it's pricey and I couldn't borrow from others. Luckily, there's always a light in the end of the tunnel. My friend wanted to sold his dslr and it's RM 880. Without a second thoughts, me and my friend kai chin, share the money and bought the second hand camera: Canon 1100d.

After done alot of "research" online on how to use dslr, me and my friend (kai chin) went out from day to night to explore with our dslr. Sadly, our hardwork didn't pay off. I assumed that we are both dummies in dslr. All the photos taken wasn't in the right angle and we were confuse with shutter speed, aperture and ISO.

I'm an impatient and bad-tempered person. I felt like giving up.

But then, after seeing my friend, kai chin went out alone for photo shooting again, from day to night without any complaint even the product turned out bad, really bad.
He said: "At least I learnt something now. We should always try an error. You can't build a rome just in one day!"

After some encouragement from him and of course, the assignment deadline draw nearer, I force myself to go for photo shooting again.

And this time, I managed to shoot something that I consider ok, satisfied with.
I was happy again! LOL!

Although my end product wasn't that good compare to those who are professional and familiar with dslr, but for me, I am satisfied with what I shoot (not self-boosting la) as a newbie.

I feel proud now. Within 2 months time, I went from zero, not to hero, but at least something. This is what I proud of.

All the photos taken, all my blog posts are original. Is all my masterpiece. Be it good or bad, the products is not a matter. All that matters is the process
